Taio Cruz

Beginning his illustrious career in Tricky Stewart's writing collective, RedZone Entertainment, Taio Cruz quickly gained recognition for his songwriting talent. In 2005, he was awarded a Brit Award for co-writing Will Young's successful single "Your Game." This early success led to the release of his debut solo album "Departure" in 2008, which achieved certified gold status in the U.K. He followed this with the release of "Rokstarr" in 2009, an album that spawned number-one singles "Break Your Heart" and "Dynamite." Both these singles received nominations for Best British Single at the Brit Awards in 2010 and 2011, respectively, with "Dynamite" winning three Billboard Awards, including Top Hot 100 Song.

Cruz's talent extended beyond his own performances, as he wrote and produced music for a variety of artists, including Cheryl, JLS, The Saturdays, The Wanted, and David Guetta. In 2011, he wrote and recorded "Telling the World" for the animated film "Rio" soundtrack. His collaboration on "Without You" for David Guetta and Usher in 2012 showcased his songwriting abilities. In 2012, Cruz showcased his live performance skills at the closing ceremony of the Summer Olympics in London.

Cruz shifted from traditional album releases to a focus on releasing collections of singles, beginning with the "Roses Collection." In 2013, he launched a social media app called Kewe. Further diversifying his career, Cruz launched the fashion and accessories brand Rokstarr in 2009, which later evolved into RXTR. His philanthropic efforts include working with Little Kids Rock to support music education in disadvantaged U.S. public schools.
