Tamala Jones is an American actress known for her work in television and film. Jones gained widespread recognition for her role as Lanie Parish, a medical examiner, on the hit ABC series Castle (2009–2016). She is now in “Ordinary Angels.”
Besides Castle, she has appeared in several popular TV shows, including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, For Your Love, Veronica's Closet, One on One, The Parent ‘Hood, and Rebel. Jones has had roles in movies such as Booty Call (1997), The Wood (1999), Next Friday (2000), Two Can Play That Game (2001), Head of State (2003), and Daddy Day Camp (2007).
Tamala Jones has been in the entertainment industry since the early 1990s and is known for her versatility in both comedy and drama. She has also been a strong advocate for health awareness, particularly related to brain aneurysms, after experiencing one herself at the age of 23.
