Tanya Lombard

Tanya Lombard is the Vice President of Global External Affairs at AT&T. In this role, she promotes diversity and inclusion at and beyond the company, overseeing corporate policies, third-party partnerships and community initiatives. She is primarily responsible for promoting the company’s brand to underrepresented communities, leading the development of public policy and managing the outreach to civil rights groups, multicultural and educational organizations, senior citizens, and disabled constituencies throughout the United States.

Lombard has devoted her career to driving excellence and building relationships with her commitment to DEI initiatives a critical component of this effort. As a testament to her vision, Lombard created an AT&T platform called the Humanity of Connection, which celebrates multicultural leaders via social media and at an annual event. She also developed a CEO roundtable to foster discussions with Black, Hispanic, Women, and Native American segments to establish principles of equality and justice and resolve issues in the workplace.

Lombard is a government and public affairs expert and previously served as a special assistant to former President Bill Clinton at the White House. Prior to joining AT&T, she was a principal at Peck, Madigan, Jones & Stewart, a global government relations firm.

In recognition of her work, Lombard named her to their "50 Over 50: Innovation" list.
