Tems is a Nigerian singer-songwriter who first gained recognition after appearing on Wizkid's 2020 single "Essence," which led to a Grammy Award nomination. Her rise to prominence continued when she featured on Drake's track "Fountains" and when her song "Higher" was sampled by Future in "Wait for U." This song topped the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
