Terika Richardson

Terika Richardson is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at CommonSpirit Health, where she provides strategic and operations-related leadership, ensuring optimal operating effectiveness for the organization and its operating regions. Richardson joined CommonSpirit with more than 20 years of experience in executive operations at various nonprofit, for-profit, and faith-based health care organizations.

Richardson came to CommonSpirit from Ardent Health Services, where, as Chief Operating Officer, she oversaw operations and strategic growth of 30 hospitals and over 200 care sites. Previously, she served in leadership roles at Advocate Health Care’s Chicagoland market and HCA.

She has twice been acknowledged as one of Modern Healthcare’s “Top 25 Minority Executives”; received the American College of Healthcare Executives (Chicago Chapter) - Young Healthcare Executive Award; and been among the Top 100 Women Leaders in Medicine of 2021, and one of Crain’s Chicago Business’s 40 Under 40. Richardson serves on the American Hospital Association’s Board of Trustees and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. She has served on other AHA committees and as a regent-at-large for the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Richardson holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree of Public Health from the University of Michigan.
