Tianna Madison

Tianna Bartoletta is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the long jump and short sprinting events. She is a two-time Olympian with three gold medals. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she won gold in the 4 × 100 m relay and also competed in the 100m event, where she finished fourth with a personal best time of 10.85. She secured two more golds at the 2016 Summer Olympics; she achieved a personal best in the long jump and was part of the victorious 4×100m relay team once again.

In addition to her Olympic achievements, Bartoletta is a world champion, having won the long jump World Championship in 2005 and 2015. Also, her silver medal at the 2006 World Indoor Championships was elevated to gold following a disqualification. Beyond the track, she was a pusher on the U.S. bobsled team in 2012 and placed third in her first career World Cup bobsledding competition. She is currently an ambassador for SPIRE Institute and Academy and the founder and president of Club 360, a program aimed at helping young women build successful lives.

Bartoletta attended local public schools, including Elyria High School, and was a member of the 2003 USA TODAY All-USA High School Girls Track Team. She appeared in the 2003 “Faces In The Crowd” section of Sports Illustrated and was named the 2003 Gatorade Ohio High School Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year. She became the third athlete in Ohio history to win four events at a state championship meet two years in a row.

After high school, Bartoletta attended the University of Tennessee where she won multiple titles and honors in long jump and sprinting events. She continues to hold the first rank all-time in Tennessee’s history in the outdoor long jump at 6.89 m, and she was the USA outdoor champion in the 100m in 2014 and indoor champion in the 60m in 2014 and 2015.
