Tim Decker

Tim Decker is a professional speed painter known for his celebrity and patriotic portraits, which he paints live in front of an audience at various events.

Decker never expressed much interest in art, only taking two art classes to fill his college schedule with less demanding classes. In 2009, Decker experienced a pivotal dream where he envisioned himself speed painting on a beach boardwalk, despite having never heard of speed painting before. Inspired by the dream, he bought a gallon of paint and created his first portrait, which was of Mr. T. This marked the beginning of his career as a speed painter. Decker adapted to using two brushes at once, a technique that came naturally and quickly to him.

Starting his career at smaller festivals, Decker's unique style and engaging performances quickly gained popularity. He now performs primarily at corporate and charity events across the United States, including for top companies like Mercedes Benz, Chick-fil-A, Merrill Lynch, and Porsche. His performances, which typically last between 4-7 minutes and are set to music, integrate humor, art, and audience participation, making each event memorable. Decker grew up in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania, and studied Media Communications at East Stroudsburg University.
