Tim O'Shaughnessy

Tim was the CEO of LivingSocial. Hes part of the original visionary team behind the product, which integrates users interest profiles seamlessly with Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, hi5, and Orkut.

In 2010, O'Shaughnessy (29) was named to Washington Business Journal's 40 Under 40 and Inc.com's 30 Under 30 list, and LivingSocial earned the Hottest Venture Capital Deal award at the 2010 NVTC Hot Tickets Awards.

Most recently, Tim led the consumer products team at Revolution Health where he integrated multi-million dollar acquisitions into the company, and previously, he managed product launches at AOL.

OShaughnessy graduated from Georgetown University with degrees in marketing and operations and information management.

When hes not working to make it easier for users to share and discover their own passions online, hes usually reading, traveling, or trying to take in a ball game.

Today Former LivingSocial chief executive Tim O’Shaughnessy has been named president of Graham Holdings, the conglomerate owned by his father-in-law and former Washington Post Co. chairman, Donald E. Graham.

In his role as president, O’Shaughnessy will oversee investments and acquisitions for Graham Holdings and “help set a new direction for the company” as it sheds an identity that was once tightly entwined with this newspaper, according to a news release.

“While I am going nowhere around here for a while, I’m adding another family member, another generation, to the top management of Graham Holdings,” Graham told employees Wednesday, according to a transcript of his remarks.
