Tisha Campbell

Tisha Campbell is one of Hollywood’s most beloved actors and is one of the rare talents who has successfully made the transition from child star to adult superstar.

From humble beginnings in Newark, NJ, where she attended the New Jersey version of the FAME school for performing arts, Campbell soon found herself as a standout on a popular PBS children’s show, which lead to her appearing on the iconic Captain Kangaroo TV program. As a teen, she continued her national TV and stage appearances, but she got her big break starring in the hit film, Little Shop Of Horrors, following her appearance in the stage play. From there her career began to soar and she starred in the Spike Lee cult classic School Daze, cultural epic House Party and two films with Eddie Murphy, Another 48 Hours and Boomerang.

These high-profile roles caught the attention of comedian Martin Lawrence and of executives at the newly formed Fox Network. The two went on to make history with the highly rated and often-imitated "Martin" sitcom for 5 hilarious seasons. Following her success with that show, she went on to star in a second hit sitcom, ABC’s "My Wife And Kids" with Damon Wayans. Both shows continue to enjoy wide, worldwide popularity in syndication.

Recently, Campbell co-hosted and executive-produced the Soul Train Awards for four consecutive years. She starred opposite Neil Patrick Harris in the hit TV series "Uncoupled," now airing on Showtime.
