Torri Huske

Torri Huske, a competitive swimmer, started her journey in swimming with the Arlington Aquatic Club and later displayed her talent in high school. During her senior year at Yorktown High School, Huske set the national high school record in both the 200 Short Course Yards (SCY) Individual Medley and the 100 (SCY) butterfly. These groundbreaking performances led to her becoming the youngest member ever inducted into the Yorktown High School Hall of Fame. From there, Huske continued her swimming career at Stanford University, where she represented the Stanford Cardinal swim team.

Throughout her career, Huske has collected a considerable number of awards and medals. She holds the notable achievement of winning a gold medal in the 100-meter butterfly at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Previously, she was the American record holder in the 50- and 100-meter butterfly. At the 2022 Fina World Swimming Championships, Huske won three gold and three bronze medals, and at the 2019 World Junior Championships, she won six gold medals. These accomplishments reflect her competitive spirit and resilience. In addition to her competitive career, Huske has also represented the United States in various championships, including the 2020 Summer Olympics, the 2021 World Short Course Championships, and the 2024 Summer Olympics, where she won gold and silver medals.

Huske's record-breaking career extends beyond these accolades. During her senior year, she set the National High School Record in the 200 SCY Individual Medley and was the first woman to finish the 100 SCY butterfly in under 50 seconds in a high school competition. In 2021, Torri Huske became the first collegiate swimmer to sign a sponsorship deal with swimwear company TYR Sport, marking a significant achievement in her professional career. Recognizing her outstanding performance, she was named a High School All-American swimmer by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) in the same year. She also set new Americas, American, US Open, and Championship records in the 100m butterfly at the 2020 US Olympic Team Trials, demonstrating her exceptional talent in the sport.
