Tracy Martin

Tracy Martin is a community activist and co-author of "Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin" with Sybrina Fulton, which was released in 2017. Since the tragic death of his son, Trayvon Martin, in 2012, he has dedicated himself to advocating for social justice and transforming tragedy into change, focusing on issues such as race relations in the United States, the value of youth, and the importance of parental roles in child safety.

Martin speaks on these subjects to various audiences, including colleges, legal professionals, and community organizations. He emphasizes the need for ongoing education and conversation about civil rights to catalyze social justice. Additionally, he provides insights on handling confrontations and conflict resolution.

He also engages in personal development as a life coach, addressing topics like self-esteem, self-acceptance, and creating healthy relationships in his lectures for various groups. Martin holds a position as a writing instructor at IUPUI and works as a freelance writer for diverse media outlets, as well as corporate and non-profit organizations. He is a graduate of Purdue University, holding a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction from their Creative Writing Program, and a Bachelor's in English from Indiana University.
