Trey Edward Shults is a film producer, director, writer and actor. He is best known for directing and writing 2015's dramatic film Krishna and 2017's horror film It Comes At Night.
Krishna is based on a real-life incident involving Shults's cousin, who experienced a relapse at a family reunion.
Shults was born in Houston, Texas, and made his directorial debut in 2010 with the short film Mother and Son. Shults also wrote, edited and produced Mother and Son.
