Ufuk Tarhan

Ufuk Tarhan is an author, futurist, economist, and the President of M-Gen Digital Agency, Turkey’s first futurist consulting company, which she founded in 2006. Tarhan graduated from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of Economics and subsequently earned a master's degree in "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" at Bahcesehir University. Since 1982, she has worked as a top executive, general manager, and board member in various companies across industries, primarily in IT & telecommunications. In 2002, she was recognized as "The Most Successful Businesswoman In The IT Industry." She is highly regarded among futurist influencers and frequently features in global lists of top 100 female futurists, including Forbes' "Leading Female Futurists."

Tarhan is a prominent speaker known for her expertise in futurism and technology. She regularly delivers talks at international conferences on topics such as “How To Create A Better Future?”, “Be a T-Human”, and “Get Prepared for Digital, AI, Robotic, Energy Revolutions’ Future.” She is a founding member of the Turkish Futurist’s Society and served as its president from 2009 to 2012, and remains the only woman futurist keynote speaker, moderator, and facilitator in Turkey. Tarhan also lectures on “Future Studies” at METU and several other universities. She is a member of the World Future Society, the Association of Professional Futurists, and serves on the board of Kagider.

Tarhan has written extensively, contributing to the translation and preface of Futurist Dr. Verne Wheelwright’s book “O Senin Geleceğin – It’s Your Future." She is also the author of “Your Dream Future,” aimed at high school students, and “T-Human,” which won the Most Successful Innovative Business Book Award in 2017. This book discusses the successful human model of the future for adults and young adults. Additionally, Tarhan promotes the role of women in the workplace and has authored numerous articles and columns globally. She founded the M-GEN Future Planning Center in 2006 and later established M-GEN Software and Digital Communication Services Ltd. She has been actively involved in volunteer projects with organizations such as Rotary International and the World Futurists Association. Tarhan also initiated Future Day, hoping it will become a national public holiday for discussions about our shared future.
