As entrepreneurial researcher he has founded corporations, in which his discoveries and disruptive technology innovations are developed to cancer diagnostics and therapies.
Prof. Dr. Sahin has authored about 100 original research articles and has received various prestigious national and international awards for his scientific achievements. He is co-founder of the biotech companies Ganymed Pharmaceuticals and BioNTech. holding, the latter he leads as CEO. He is co-founder of the German Cutting Edge Cluster Initiative for Individualized Immune Intervention and co-founder and chair of the not-for-profit translational research institute TRON.
