Ulrich Boser

Ulrich Boser is the founder and CEO of The Learning Agency and a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, where he also serves as the founding director of their science of learning initiative. He leads the Learning Agency Lab, a nonprofit devoted to scaling the science of learning.

In 2017, Boser wrote "Learn Better: Mastering the Skills for Success in Life, Business, and School, or, How to Become an Expert in Just About Anything," a book on the science of learning that was recognized by Amazon as one of the best books of the year. The book has been featured in several prominent media outlets including Wired, Slate, Vox, Fast Company, and The Atlantic. Boser's work continues to be influential, with his writing and research appearing in a range of outlets from "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" to the front page of USA Today. His contributions to the field of education were recognized by Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), who drafted a change to federal education law based on Boser’s work.

Boser has served as an adviser and consultant to numerous prominent organizations, including Google, Coca-Cola, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has been featured on CNN, National Public Radio, and NBC's "Nightly News." His earlier writings include "The Leap: The Science of Trust and Why It Matters" and "The Gardner Heist: The True Story of the World’s Largest Unsolved Art Theft," which became a national bestseller and was optioned for film. Boser's career also includes roles as a contributing editor for U.S. News & World Report, a researcher for the newspaper Education Week, and an English language instructor. He graduated from Dartmouth College with honors.
