Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham is an English fashion designer, singer, and television personality. She gained international recognition in the 1990s as a member of the girl group the Spice Girls, where she was nicknamed Posh Spice. The Spice Girls has been remarkably successful, with over 100 million records sold worldwide. After the Spice Girls split in 2001, Beckham embarked on a solo career, releasing her self-titled debut album, which produced two UK Top 10 singles. In addition to her music career, she has starred in multiple documentaries and reality shows, including "Victoria's Secrets," "Being Victoria Beckham," "The Real Beckhams," "Victoria Beckham – A Mile In Their Shoes," and "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America."

Beyond her personal life and career in music, Beckham has carved out a successful career in the fashion industry. She launched her eponymous fashion label in 2008 and a lower-priced label in 2011. The Victoria Beckham label was named Designer Brand of the Year in the UK in 2011. Beckham continued to expand her brand, launching the beauty brand Victoria Beckham Beauty in September 2019. The brand's first line of products focused on eye makeup and later expanded to include lip products. An advocate for animal rights, the Victoria Beckham brand remains fur-free and free of any exotic skins as of the autumn/winter collection in 2019.

Throughout her career, Beckham has made cameo appearances in popular shows like "Ugly Betty" and has been a guest judge on shows like "Project Runway," "Germany's Next Topmodel," and "American Idol." She has also penned two books, "Learning to Fly," and "That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between," with "Learning to Fly" becoming the third best-selling non-fiction title of 2001.

Beckham was appointed UNAIDS International Goodwill Ambassador in 2014 to support the UNAIDS vision of an AIDS-free generation. Beckham has been engaged in humanitarian issues for many years and has a long-standing interest in the AIDS response, having been a patron of the Elton Johns AIDS Foundation for more than a decade.

In recognition of her contributions to the fashion industry, Victoria Beckham was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours. Her influence extends beyond the realms of music and fashion, as evidenced by her position as one of the 100 most powerful women in the UK in the fashion category, as assessed by Woman's Hour on BBC Radio 4 in February 2013.
