Viv and the Revival

Viv and the Revival is a musical group known for its songs "I Want It," "Fire," and "Hurricane."

Though Viv started playing guitar at age 8, playing in bands at 16, and moving to Los Angeles to work as a session guitar player at 19, he didn’t even write his first song or sing until age 22. In just four years after first putting pen to paper and his unique vocal tone to a microphone, the Viv had more success as a writer than most will see in their lifetimes.

Viv and the Revival songs have been placed worldwide in numerous television shows, national commercials, and movies. In fact, every single song from his self-released 2011 EP “And Then the World Part 1” has been heard by millions in TV placements. His song “Fire” was used in a Bud Lite commercial during the Summer Olympics in 2012. Additionally, NBC’s “The Voice” has used over six of his songs countless times over various seasons. Other songs have been placed on NBC, MTV, ESPN, TeenNick, and in films.

Viv and the Revival have self-released four EPs: 2010’s “The Cadence in the Chaos,” 2011’s “And Then The World, Part 1,” February 2012’s “Seven,” and September 2012’s “And Then The World, Part 2” on his website and via iTunes.

Viv also worked with Grammy-nominated producer Rick Friedrich (The Roots, Rihanna, Kanye West) on a new EP featuring revamped versions of three older tracks, “Criminals,” “Welcome to a Good Time” and “I Want It” with Early Ape, which garnered regular rotation on influential station WXPN in Philadelphia.
