William Hockey Biography
William Hockey is the co-CEO at Column, the only federally chartered bank built to enable developers and builders to create new financial products, which he co-founded with his wife Annie. He is best known as co-founder and former Chief Technology Officer of Plaid, a world-leading data network and payments platform.
Hockey and Zach Perret launched Plaid in 2012 after learning firsthand the difficulties in trying to build and scale fintech applications. Today, thousands of companies use Plaid's suite of APIs to build applications that enable millions of consumers and businesses to lead healthier financial lives. While Hockey stepped down in his day-to-day role at Plaid, he remains on the board of directors. He also serves on the board of Scale.ai.
Hockey studied history and business at Emory University.
