Wyclef Jean

Wyclef Jean's music career is decorated with numerous achievements, including selling over 100 million albums and receiving three Grammy Awards. Jean, a founding member of the legendary Hip Hop group the Fugees, is widely recognized for iconic hits such as "Gone Till November" and "Sweetest Girl." His musical ability transcends genres and geographies, evident in his collaborative projects like the recording with Bono entitled "New Day"; writing and producing Carlos Santana's "Supernatural," which won the Grammy for Album of the Year; Whitney Houston's "My Love Is Your Love"; and Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie," which earned a Grammy nomination and became a global hit.

In 2014, Jean's musical prowess led to the release of the FIFA World Cup official anthem, "Dar Um Jeito," in collaboration with Avicii, and the release of his single "Divine Sorrow," a partnership with Coca-Cola's Red campaign. Jean's discography since 2016 includes the release of his EP J'ouvert, which amassed over 100 million streams worldwide, and albums like "Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee," followed by "Wyclef Goes Back to School Volume 1" in 2019.

Haitian-born Wyclef Jean is not only a Grammy Award-winning songwriter, musician, and producer but also a respected humanitarian and Goodwill Ambassador to Haiti. In 2008, he participated in the Clinton Global Initiative, where he spoke on panel discussions about his native Haiti. He founded Yéle Haiti, a grassroots movement that provides assistance to Haiti through various programs, food distribution, and emergency relief. After Haiti's devastating earthquake, all programs focused on the relief and reconstruction of the nation. Additionally, he was awarded the National Order of Honour and Merit to the rank of Grand Officer by President Michel Martelly of Haiti in 2011 and was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2017.

Jean also extends his influence through his autobiography, "Purpose: An Immigrant's Story," sharing his life journey and experiences in the world of hip-hop. He also launched the podcast "RunThatBlack" in 2020 and collaborated with Google on the #BlackOwnedFriday campaign, winning a Webby Award. In 2021, he co-founded SodoMoodLab and composed for Showtime's "The Chi." Recently, he partnered with TIAA on "Paper Right" to promote financial literacy, with proceeds benefiting First Generation Investor.
