Yassir Lester Biography
Yassir Lester is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor. His writing credits include "Girls" on HBO, "LOOT" on Apple TV+, "The Carmichael Show" on NBC, "Detroiters" on Comedy Central, and "Black Excellence" on Netflix. As an actor, Lester has starred on FOX's "Making History" and "Duncanville," NBC's "Champions" and Showtime's "Black Monday," where he also served as a writer and producer. He stars in Amazon Prime's "Sausage Party: FOODTOPIA" and is writing the film "Armor Wars" for Marvel Studios. He co-directed "The Gutter," a comedy that premiered at the 2024 SXSW festival, with his brother Isaiah Lester.
Lester's stand-up comedy can be seen on Comedy Central as a featured performer on "The New Negroes." He performs regularly at the Hollywood Improv and The Comedy Store, both in Los Angeles.
