Zak Kaufman Biography
Co-founder and CEO of Vera Solutions, Zak Kaufman drives social impact through technology, empowering 80+ organizations with innovative cloud solutions. Kaufman's career spans 15+ years at the nexus of health, development, and technology. Recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur and Global Good Fund Fellow, he leads Vera’s global team across five continents.
Prior to Vera, Kaufman worked at Global Shapers Community's Geneva hub, oversaw research and monitoring and evaluation for Grassroot Soccer, and led three randomized controlled trials in South Africa and Zimbabwe through his PhD research in epidemiology at London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He has co-authored numerous academic articles, co-founded the open-access Journal of Sport for Development, and presented at dozens of global health, technology, and social entrepreneurship conferences.
Kaufman graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dartmouth and has been recognized as a Marshall Scholar, Truman Scholar and Bluhm/Helfand Social Innovation Fellow.
