Zarna Garg

Zarna Garg is a mom and lawyer turned award-winning screenwriter and stand-up comedian. In her signature style, she highlights the immigrant and American experience. During the pandemic, Garg transitioned her comedy shows online, reaching a wider audience base. This strategic move was covered by The New York Times, and she has expanded to outdoor venues, including Central Park and the MET. Garg's comedy videos on TikTok have garnered over 60 million views, indicating her increasing popularity.

Garg consistently performs for sold-out audiences at top clubs across the United States. She also regularly performs at Caroline’s on Broadway with her second hit show, "Sari, Not Sorry," following her headlining debut, "My American Dream." In 2021, Garg won Kevin Hart's comedy competition on Peacock, "Lyft Comics." She also received the Ladies of Laughter Award in the Newcomer Winner category the same year.

Her debut romantic comedy screenplay "Rearranged" won the Best Comedy Screenplay Award at the 2019 Austin Film Festival, proudly standing first among 11,000 scripts. This screenplay has been optioned by Marginal Mediaworks. Garg has been featured in "Gutsy" on Apple TV, hosted by Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, and was recognized as one of the gutsiest women comedians in America. She has also appeared on shows like "Tamron Hall," "Today," and "This American Life," where she discussed her inspiration to start stand-up comedy.

Her first comedy special, "Zarna Garg: One in a Billion," was released on Prime Video on May 16, 2023. She also produces and publishes her family podcast, "The Zarna Garg Show," which is available on major platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, and Apple. In 2024, Garg made her late-night debut on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

In addition to her successful comedy career, Garg stars in the film "A Nice Indian Boy," which premiered at SXSW. She is opening for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's tour and touring her next stand-up hour, "Practical People Win," both in the US and internationally.
