Jenna Morasca, a co-host of the former television series, Everyday Health, has worked as a model, actress and television correspondent, and has appeared on popular entertainment shows on CBS, NBC, ABC, VH1, MTV, and E!. She may be best known as the winner of the CBS reality show Survivor: The Amazon in 2003, and as evidenced on Everyday Health, her beauty is more than skin deep.
In her role as a host, Jenna brings a unique and personal perspective to Everyday Health. Like many of the people profiled, Jenna has lived the critical role of caregiver and inspirational partner during co-host and boyfriend Ethan Zohn's personal battle against CD20-positive Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Ethan was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2009, but is now in remission. Jenna's first-hand experience enables her to relate authentically with the show's subjects: extraordinary people whose stories inspire all of us to make a difference and celebrate the power of one person's courage and determination.
Ethan and Jenna come to life on Everyday Health at times they come across as a modern-day "Ricky and Lucy." On the show, they travel across the country to report human-interest stories about amazing people who have gone through a health crisis and have used the power of the human spirit to help people in similar circumstances.
Jenna, the youngest female contestant ever to win Survivor, was first thrust in to the role of caretaker when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Then, in 2004, Jenna made the difficult decision to withdraw from competing in Survivor: All Stars to spend time with her mother, who was in the final stages of a 12-year battle with cancer. Her mom passed away eight days after Jenna returned home.
Jenna is actively involved in many cancer organizations and caregiver groups, including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization for which she was a 2011 Woman of the Year finalist. In addition, she is an ambassador for Survivor Stands Up 2 Cancer. Morasca's other extensive charity work has included the National Humane Society, lobbying for animal rights in Washington, D.C., and PETA, for which she appeared in two national advertisements.
Jenna hosted her own live web-based chat show for CBS.com called Survivor Live and has worked as a correspondent for CBS network shows and events, including the fan favorite, Comic-Con. Jenna has had principal roles in four feature films and been featured on a variety of television shows, including The Late Show with David Letterman, Live! with Regis & Kelly, and The Early Show. In addition, she has appeared on the cover of TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly, and been featured in People, US Weekly, and In Touch.
In 2009, Jenna graduated summa cum laude from Argosy University with a degree in Psychology and a concentration in substance abuse. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in Psychology with a concentration in substance abuse at Columbia University in New York City.
Jenna and Ethan currently reside in New York City.
