Mara Woloshin lost her mother when she was 12 and was raised by an amazing and amusing collection of five siblings and her rough and tumble and very affectionate father from Coney Island.
Humorous life lesions and stories that apply to leadership and person motivation leave Mara’s audiences with insights about their own history, and what important experiences have shaped their own lives from the bad times, and the good.
Her talk, filled with vintage photos, takes her audiences through all many life stages, giving them the opportunity to reflect on the choices they have made, some good, some they would rather not even think about. Audience members leave Growing Up Goldberg with an understanding of how they are connected to those around them, from their past and in their immediate circle of those they care about. They will learn, in a gentle, humorous way the unrecognized wisdom they possess by making choices that succeeded and the sometimes-uncomfortable lessons they have learned from the mistakes they have made.
We have all had successes and failures and learned leadership lessons from both.
• We’ve been in control and sometimes not.
• We’ve faced issues of right and wrong and the gray in between.
• We’ve experienced a full range of emotions and their consequences.
• We have learned from the positive and negative examples of the behavior of others.
• We have cried, argued, laughed and loved.
