Prior to Box.org, Appleton Page was Vice President of Development and a member of the executive team at Prosper Marketplace and was responsible for a full range of growth activity, including acquisition and retention and the development of ecosystem-based partnerships and alliances. Before Prosper, she was responsible for marketing, new client relationships, and growth initiatives for the largest private wealth management team at Citigroup/Smith Barney. As Director of Business Development at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP, she built a team that worked to grow revenues and broaden existing and prospective client relationships. She also served as National Marketing Director for the corporate group at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, LLP. At Lexis-Nexis, she launched the firm's internet product, managed top-tier accounts, and ran business development for the state of Hawaii.
Appleton Page is currently a General Partner at B Capital Group. She has experience as an entrepreneur, angel investor and board member. Known and respected as a business leader, she worked on the Enterprise GTM team at Apple, leading the commercial channel, strategic partners, the Mobility Partner Program and the Industry team. She was one of the founding executives at Box, leading GTM activities, defining Box’s approach to partnerships and business development, cultivating C-level relationships and strategic initiatives. She is on the board of Plastiq, and Pickit, and a trustee at the Computer History Museum, Thorn and formerly, The Newseum. She is also a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, and a member of MIT’s Solve. Karen’s angel investments include Werk, Glassbreakers, Elliot, Strype, RDMD, The Riveter, Mutiny, DogSpot, HarperWilde, O'hana and Wonderful Life.
She is experienced in building businesses from zero to high growth, evaluating and deploying double-digit expansion efforts, defining and implementing net-new initiatives, passionate about executing strategic partnerships and business development plans through data driven analysis, strategic prioritization, and relentless execution.
