Mulhern has authored several books including "Everyday Leadership: Getting Results in Business, Politics and Life" and "Be Real: Inspiring Stories for Leading at Home and Work." He has also co-authored "A Governor’s Story: The Fight for Jobs and America’s Future" with Jennifer Granholm, which explores leadership strategies during economic challenges. His ongoing work includes writing for his blog “Reading for Leading,” and hosting the radio show “Everyday Leadership: Making Work Work.”

Over his career, Mulhern has provided executive coaching and leadership training to a diverse range of organizations, including prominent corporations such as Ford, Google, and Facebook.
