Dave Anthony Biography

The creator of the “Call of Duty: Black Ops” video game franchise, Dave Anthony was the writer and game director of Black Ops 1 & 2. Black Ops is one of the best selling franchises in video game history, selling more than 100 million copies and grossing over ten billion dollars in revenue.

In addition to working with many senior military experts and veterans such as Lt. Colonel Oliver North, Anthony directed a host of A-list celebrities such as Ed Harris, Gary Oldman, Sam Worthington, Kiefer Sutherland, Evangeline Lilly, Jimmy Kimmel and Michael Keaton.

Outside of video games, for 10 years Anthony was a Senior Fellow in the Forward Defense initiative within the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, where he focused on the future of conflict and warfare as well as the defense and security implications of global trends. Anthony assisted the Scowcroft Center in creatively thinking about what warfare will look like, how it will be fought, and strategies required to deter and defeat adversaries.
