Former police officer, attorney, and Florida Circuit Court Judge Alex E. Ferrer is widely recognized for his role as the host of "Judge Alex," a highly rated courtroom program produced by Twentieth Television. In addition to his television career, Ferrer created and hosted "Whistleblower" on CBS in 2018, a show that highlights real-life cases involving whistleblowers and their efforts to expose corporate misconduct.

With a background that spans extensive police, legal, and judicial experience, Ferrer is the only television judge who has served in all these capacities. His approach to presiding over a broad range of cases is both straightforward and insightful, earning him accolades such as being voted the most trustworthy face in daytime television in 2008. His media presence was further solidified by his feature in People magazine's "Sexiest Men Alive" issue the same year.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Ferrer moved to the United States with his family to escape Fidel Castro's regime. Raised in Miami, he pursued a career in law enforcement at a young age and went on to practice civil litigation, focusing on a variety of cases including medical malpractice and personal injury. Elected as a judge at 34, he was the youngest Circuit Court judge in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, managing a diverse docket in both the family and criminal divisions for a decade.

He serves as an adjunct professor at Florida International University, teaching graduate courses in criminal law and procedure.
