Leifer has written for the Oscars telecast nine times, holding the record for the most such contributions by a female writer. She has earned a Writer’s Guild Award for her exceptional work on the television comedy "Modern Family," and has recently been nominated for another Writer's Guild Award for her writing for "The Oscars."
