Rocsi Diaz, the Emmy Award-winning host and correspondent currently brings her seasoned broadcasting chops and youthful personality to HLN’s "The Daily Share." Rocsi recently joined HLN, a CNN Worldwide network reaching more than 100 million households in the U.S., following its re-branding in 2014 as the first all-screens home for the best social news and lifestyle content in the world.
Rocsi previously spent two years on the CBS show "Entertainment Tonight" as the weekend co-host and daily correspondent from 2013-early 2015. Entertainment Tonight is the #1 entertainment news-magazine in the world, and Rocsi was part of the on-air team that helped “ET” earn a 2014 Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment News Program.
Prior to joining "Entertainment Tonight," Rocsi was the co-host of BET’s flagship show, "106 & Park" from 2006-2012. Seen in 85 million households across the globe, the show is one of television’s most influential programs with the ability to open a film or make an album reach #1. Although thrilled with the success and excitement of hosting, Rocsi used any free time she had to hone her acting skills. Her training, natural talent and charm has opened the door for myriad TV guest spots and films, including the indie features "Soul Ties" (the sequel to the cult hit Gang of Roses) and "The Great Divide." Most recently she shot "The Last Letter" with Lynn Whitfield, Omari Hardwick and Sharon Leal.
On 23 January 2015, Diaz announced she had been hired by CNN's HLN. She is the Los Angeles contributor to their show The Daily Share.
Diaz serves as the host to the third season of Dating Naked on VH1 replacing the original two-seasoned host Amy Paffrath.
Born in Honduras, Rocsi was raised in New Orleans where she developed a love for pop culture at a very young age. Rocsi made her debut as a radio host in Dallas at 97.9 The Beat, a popular FM radio station. Rocsi’s signature style caught the attention of Boston’s Hot 97.7, who quickly moved her east. From there, she moved to Chicago where she became known as “The Midday Mami” on the market’s top urban station, Power 92. While in Chicago interviewing the hottest artists in the music industry, Rocsi entered BET’s “New Faces” contest on a whim. She was ecstatic to receive the call telling her she had won the national competition. In addition to her hosting duties, Rocsi is a tireless supporter of numerous charities including her own RocStar Foundation, which raises money to build and refurbish schools devastated by Hurricane Katrina in her native New Orleans. Rocsi, who is committed to health and overall wellness for herself and her community at large, has also appeared in a Peta2 campaign that raised awareness for shelter animals and is in works on a second campaign.
