Faith Abiodun is an entrepreneur, project manager, writer and speaker. He combines a hybrid background of journalism, education, corporate communications, non-profit management and youth development advocacy in his work of empowering impact-driven changemakers for global relevance.
He started out early as a journalist, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan, Nigeria; before hosting a radio interview program with Diamond FM, Nigeria; serving as a reporter at The Guardian; interviewing Nobel Laureates, Wole Soyinka and Leymah Gbowee; publishing by-lines in 11 Nigerian dailies and writing as a columnist for international magazines. He later worked in the Corporate Communications department of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Ltd, Nigeria.
His undying passion for youth development led him to establish The F.A.I.T.H. Initiative (TFI), a network of change catalysts and social initiatives collaborating on global leadership, enterprise development and education advocacy. Under his leadership, TFI recruited over 200 volunteers who organized five leadership conferences, supported young entrepreneurs with funds, mentored hundreds of high school students, and volunteered at several orphanages. In November 2009, he founded The Speech Academy; an elocution and public speaking training institute in Ibadan, Nigeria, with more than 600 trained public speakers till date.
He is presently employed at African Leadership Academy (ALA), South Africa as Communications Associate and Director of the International Relations Council, through which he organizes the ALA Model African Union to develop the next generation of African diplomatic leaders. He is also a member of the 2013/2014 class of the Learners' Voice Program under the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), joining 30 young global leaders to develop innovative projects to connect education to life; he is a Global Youth Ambassador for A World at School and member of the International Advisory Board for the Global Youth Innovation Network. He is in very high demand as a public speaker; often making presentations on leadership, entrepreneurship, education, youth development, and social responsibility at conferences across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the USA.
Faith Abiodun earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Business and Innovations from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Russia and a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) at Syracuse University, USA where he served as President of the Coalition of Multicultural Public Affairs Students (COMPAS) and on the Honorary Degrees Committee of the Syracuse University Senate. He is a member of Toastmasters International, Project Management Institute and the American Society for Public Administration.
