Christy lent her vocal talents to the lead character in Disney Channel’s Primetime Emmy-nominated animated series “Kim Possible” and also appeared on Disney Channel’s Daytime Emmy-nominated series “Even Stevens.” In addition, she has a featured track, “Say The Word,” on the “Kim Possible” Soundtrack CD and Rolling Stone magazine had recognized her as one of its “Five on The Rise” of upcoming young female artists.
Christy also has had a successful Broadway career, appearing in "Beauty and the Beast" and "Avenue Q."
With the success of “Even Stevens” and Christy’s portrayal of the meticulously perfect Ren, she became a role model for young people across the country and in many other parts of the world. Christy, much like Ren Stevens herself, is exceptionally motivated and focused in her efforts to balance her career, her education, as well as being a normal teenager.
In 2002, Christy became the first actress ever to star in three Disney Channel projects: a live-action series, “Even Stevens,” an original movie, “Cadet Kelly,” which was the highest rated Disney Channel original movie for viewing audience in the channel’s history, and an animated series, “Kim Possible.” She reprized that record again in 2003 with “The Even Stevens Movie,” which surpassed “Cadet Kelly” in viewing audience ratings.
Most recently, she launched Christy’s Throwback Kitchen, a YouTube cooking series where she hosts guests from her star-studded past.
Christy has revealed that she struggled with depression, alcohol abuse and self-harming during her difficult transition from child star to adult. However, she has gone on to become an inspiring figure in the community.
