Snyder also has a seasoned experience teaching and in administration at several public and private universities and community colleges. Institutions he's worked include University of South Carolina, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, University of Central Florida, Daytona State College and Wake Tech Community College.

Most recently Snyder served as Dean of Students for High Point University. Snyder's Doctorate degree and research focused on impacts of self-efficacy on student retention amongst first-generation college students.
