Eddy Willems is a cybersecurity expert from Belgium. He holds key positions as a board member of three security industry organizations: EICAR, AVAR, and LSEC. Additionally, he is the Resident Security Evangelist and Global Security Officer at G DATA CyberDefense.

He became a founding member of EICAR in 1991, establishing himself early in one of the world's initial security IT organizations. Throughout his career, Willems has accumulated extensive experience in anti-malware and security research, consultancy, training, and communication. His expertise is frequently sought by several CERTs, press agencies, and broadcasting media, including CNN, for his respected opinions and advice on cybersecurity issues.

In October of 2013, Willems published his first book in Belgium and the Netherlands, titled "Cybergevaar" (Lannoo). This was followed by a German translation, and an updated English version, "Cyberdanger" (Springer), released in 2019. He also co-authored the Dutch SF cyber thriller "Het Virus," published in 2020. Willems is renowned for his ability to explain complex technical issues in an understandable way without compromising the accuracy of the information.
