Very rarely will we travel physically where we have yet to first venture mentally. Many of us are aware that in business, as in life, our mindset influences our outcome. So how do we ensure that our thoughts about ourselves, our abilities and our desired outcomes are primed for success? And how would doing so impact our confidence and the confidence of our teams?
As noted on Indeed.com after interviewing over 800 workers in a variety of industries, while confidence is often thought of as a fixed trait (something you either do or don’t have), it’s actually a soft skill that changes over time. There’s ample evidence that happier employees are more productive and our research reveals that confidence brings similar benefits. While confidence may ebb or flow depending on circumstances, it’s something we can work to build up, and it’s in employers’ best interest to help.
In our session entitled YOUR.SUCCESS.STORY. we will:
What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create. • Buddha
Have you ever had a moment of inspiration that you knew was brilliant but didn’t know how to get it out of our head and get it into the world? How would it look if you and everyone on your team• had confidence in the process of taking ideas from thought to thing?
Both as individuals and as team members, we have all experienced the crippling impact of “paralysis by analysis”; how the act of overthinking keeps us from taking inspired action. How would it look if you and everyone on your team• had confidence not only in the result, but in the entirety of the creation process?
In our session entitled FROM.CONCEPT.TO.CREATION. discover a 4-step strategy for taking imagination to realization. The steps, while brilliant in their simplicity, produce profound results. The added benefit is that while designed to be a useful tool at work, once you begin practicing this way of thinking, being and acting, it will spill over and enhance life beyond the office.
Words have a magical power. They can either bring the greatest happiness or the deepest despair. – Sigmund Freud
Words have the power to create our worlds and yet, for many of us, we have developed habits of speech that prevent, or at least slow down, our own success. One of the most common examples is the practice of speaking in terms of the absence of what we don’t want rather than the presence of what we do. The challenge is that these are often well practiced habits. The good news is that it’s a habit that can be addressed in a relatively simple, fun and empowering way.
Imagine that our thoughts are pathways in our mind and that our words activate those thoughts. Each time we say a familiar sentence, we add a layer of pavement to that path so that what may have begun as an uncharted walk through the woods becomes a superhighway with enough repetition. Put simply, the more often we think a thought and activate it by saying it aloud, the faster our mind draws the same conclusion. That conclusion becomes an expectation and when the expected happens, it confirms the initial belief and closes the circle. Consider what would be possible if as an organization, your team focused on harnessing this enormous power of language to achieve the desired individual and company outcomes?
In our session entitled THE.POWER.OF.WORDS. discover how shifting the way we use language can have profound results in creating a culture of:
You’ll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine. – John C. Maxwell
You may have noticed that many thought and business leaders have one thing in common• a morning routine. While some practices appeal more to the mind (reading, journaling, etc.), others to the body (walking a dog, exercising etc.) and others still to the soul (meditation, prayer, etc.), the importance is not only in choosing a method that works for you, but choosing it consistently.
Let’s walk through your typical morning. The alarm goes off. Then what? What is the very first thing you do? For far too many, the day begins by checking a device and reading emails, messages and even worse• the news. Most people have unconsciously created a habit of REACTING to the day instead of CREATING it. Imagine how the landscape of your company would shift if, instead of waking up still exhausted, your team was jumping out of bed like their souls were on fire?
In our session entitled HABITS.OF.SUCCESS. uncover which of your current rituals are setting you up for optimal results and which, if any, could benefit from tweaking. You will either choose from an existing morning routine or create your own to:
Corporate culture is the only sustainable competitive advantage that is completely within the control of the entrepreneur. – David Cummings. In the ever-evolving landscape of the corporate world, the importance of job satisfaction is playing an even larger role in determining not only employee retention but more importantly, employee satisfaction.
Imagine having an organization comprised of people who are aligned, committed and enthusiastic in their approach to problem solving? In our modern workplace, how do we foster connection when so many are working remotely? How do we encourage the exchange of fresh ideas when people feel already overwhelmed by what awaits them in their inbox? What would it look like if you could spend less time and energy addressing employee retention/turnover while offering tools that can enhance your team’s overall experience of joy and success? How can adding practices of gratitude, accountability and celebration facilitate this transformation from company to culture?
In our session entitled FROM.COMPANY.TO.CULTURE. discover a 4-step approach to transforming your workplace into a community of satisfied individuals working cohesively, excitedly and gratefully. For maximum impact, your team will benefit from a blend of focused breathing, actionable tools and practical exercises.
