Jon Heymann Biography

Born in Athens, Greece, Jon was a child victim of a trafficking ring that rendered him a slave of oppressive and brutal traffickers. He eventually made it to an American adoption agency working in Greece, and was lovingly raised by the Heymanns.

Jon's professional background includes 35 years of private ministry to public penitentiaries, to CEO of his own consulting firm. Heymann also created "Elevate Jacksonville," a non-profit whose mission is to build long-term, life-changing relationships with urban youth, equipping them to thrive and contribute to their community. Prior to that, Jon was the CEO of the Jacksonville Children's Commission, providing $38 million to support numerous child-serving non-profits.

Heymann holds a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Florida, and has completed graduate work in psychology, and doctoral work at the University of North Florida. In 2012, Clemson University awarded Heymann the Crystal Award for his work in drop-out prevention. Stanford University labeled Heymann a "Transformational Leader."
