This talk will cover the four relationships that are central to how black men, specifically learn how to love.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among romantic relationships, ethnic/cultural identity and the process of matriculation of Black Males in higher education. Relationships during the college experience have multiple functions for black Males specifically as a marker for past relationship experiences and for future relationship desires.
This presentation will highlight the critical aspects of relationships that lead to positive outcomes for Black Male students in higher education. I will examine realistic opportunities for Black Males to be more successful in relationships, creating and sustaining successful models of themselves, and ultimately greater life success.
This talk examines the modern civil rights movement and its ties to the historical civil rights movement. In examining where we are currently, I make the case for the recapitulation of the America and how The BLM movement revives the very spirit of the original Civil Rights Movement.
This talk examines historical traumas that are affecting communities of color. Historical traumas can stagnant personal, inter/intra-personal, family, and romantic relationships. the goal is to get attendees to identify their past traumas and how those traumas may impact them in their everyday lived experiences. Ultimately moving towards building solutions to find healing and progressing towards the goals that attendees will be asked to list.
