Josh Cooper Biography

Celebrity Chef Josh Cooper is a world champion BBQ PitMaster, former college football player and one of the top republican opposition research & communications consultants in the country. As a competitive chef, Cooper has won world championships at Memphis in May in several categories and the 2019 World Seafood Championship at the 2019 World Food Championships.

Cooper has appeared on Season 8 of Fox's hit TV show, MasterChef and will be featured on Season 2 of BBQ USA with Michael Symon on the Food Network in July. Cooper, dubbed a 'research maven' by Maggie Haberman, has been one of the nation's top research & communications consultants for over 20 years advising state and federal republican campaigns and officials from across the country.

Prior to starting his own research and communications firm with his beautiful wife Gannon, Cooper was appointed by the White House to serve in the George W. Bush administration after providing research and communications services to the Republican National Committee during Bush's 2004 re-election campaign. Before entering politics, Cooper played free safety at Furman University where he was twice named by the Associated Press to the all Southern Conference Team, twice named national defensive player of the week and where helped lead his team to the 2001 I-AA National Championship Game against Montana during his senior year.
