There is no name more well known in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin regions than Black Hawk, the Sauk war chief and leader of the Rock River Sauk natives known as the British Band. In April of 1832, Black Hawk and his Band crossed into Illinois and engaged in the last Native American war fought on the east side of the Mississippi River. The war would inevitably come to an end at the Battle of Bad Axe, near present-day Victory, Wisconsin, where the remainder of Black Hawk’s forces were slaughtered mercilessly. Between all of the events of the war, an approximate 77 settlers, militiamen, and army regulars would lose their lives compared to an estimated 450 to 600 British Band and their allies.
Of the numerous battle sites located in Northern Illinois, paranormal activity has been observed at nearly all of them; however, the activity at the Stillman’s Run and Kellogg’s Grove memorial sites are the most active and have the most recorded evidence. Join Dan Norvell and Larry Eissler III, from the PARAFlixx Original series Expedition Entity, as they present the history of the Black Hawk War and the ghosts that still haunt the Illinois countryside.
Never before has it been as easy to produce a paranormal web series than it is right now. Television shows like Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunters have been a mainstay in the paranormal since before many investigators bought their first K2. However, the surge in popularity from these shows has allowed many lesser-known productions to gain a lot of notoriety and become recognizable in the paranormal community. With subscription-based networks like PARAFlixx Paranormal+, or the numerous YouTube channels that produce their own content, the art of presenting your investigations to your followers is steadily becoming an important part of every paranormal team. In order to aid the up-and-coming paranormal producers, Director and Cinematographer Larry Eissler III will talk about his own series “Expedition Entity,” the struggles they faced when they first started filming, and how they conduct their investigations while also filming a network series.
