Jeanne Meserve Biography

Jeanne Meserve is widely recognized for her pioneering role in homeland security reporting, having established CNN's homeland security beat following the September 11th attacks. During her tenure from 1992 to 2011, she covered a broad array of security topics including intelligence, law enforcement, cyber, aviation, border, and port security. Meserve's in-depth reporting and ability to secure exclusive information, such as being the first to report on the devastating flooding in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, underscore her expertise and commitment to journalism.

Currently, Meserve serves as an International Security Expert for Canada’s CTV News, while continuing to enhance public understanding of security issues through her role as a senior fellow at the George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute. She remains active in the field as a member of the Aspen Institute Homeland Security Advisory Group and as president of Shore Road Multimedia LLC, specializing in homeland security communications issues.
