Here we will explore the symptoms and root causes of the Income Inequality Crisis facing the Western World today, and settle the question of whether CEOs are really paid too much or employees are paid too little?
Then we will look at the Pros and Cons of Taxes, Minimum Wages, Employee Stock Ownership and Employee Profit-Sharing as the potential tools of solving the crises, and pick a winner.
Then we will look at the critical gaps in our compensation systems and in the workplace in general (Trust Gap, Recognition Gap, Participation Gap) and explain these gaps from the perspective of our outdated and flawed (incomplete) view of the true economic value of the employee to the employer. I will provide examples of what an Equitable Compensation structure would look like, and make it clear that Pay Transparency can only bring its intended results after Pay Equity is implemented.

Note: my view of Pay Equity is fully supported by the recent EU Pay Equity and Pay Transparency laws.
