Laura Packard is a Northern Virginia-based health care advocate and stage-4 cancer survivor, small business owner at PowerThru and digital content creator, founder of Health Care Voices, Executive Director of Health Care Voter, and co-host of "Care Talk," a call-in health care show on act.tv and podcast to answer America’s health insurance questions about the ACA, Medicare and Medicaid.

She’s alive today because of the treatment she obtained through the Affordable Care Act. Packard was blocked by President Trump on Twitter in 2017, thrown out of Senator Heller’s public event for asking about his health care record, did four national health care tours with Protect Our Care (in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022), shared her story with Joe Biden in primetime at the Democratic National Convention in 2020, and introduced Barack Obama at an event for the ACA’s 11th anniversary in 2021. Her personal videos from NowThis have been viewed over 20M times.

Packard has staffed and consulted with small to large progressive non-profits and Democratic campaigns from city council to President across the country over the past decade+.
