Scott Wiggins Biography

Scott Wiggins is a leader of leaders. In his 27-year career in the United States Air Force, he commanded units of 10, 100, 1000 and 3,000+. As a pilot, he flew more than 6,000 hours and 800 hours in combat. His varied career saw him serve two years on Air Force One and lead the Air Force’s Officer Training School. He followed this stellar career by serving as the Director of Staff for a non-profit entity that was one of the 30 largest of its type in the country. His duties ranged from individual and team professional and leadership development to heading all aspects of Human Resources to directing the Safety and Security elements at five geographically separate locations.

Wiggins leadership is bearing fruit to the fourth generation for the Mississippi Air National Guard. He directly led and mentored the next four individuals who commanded the organization’s premier wing in Jackson, MS. His vision of leadership multiplication is evident in every unit in the organization as well as the non-profit he most recently led. Whether developing systems and implementing them, doing personal and group growth engagements, he advances a philosophy of investing personally, professional and as leaders. His motto is: Your team isn’t merely part of your organization; they are your organization. Further, he believes that hiring employees may allow your organization to operate, but helping them develop personally and professionally will make your team thrive.

In addition to his experience and expertise in practice, he leverages a strong academic foundation. His bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Alabama aids in his ability to deliver information that is understandable and actionable. His master’s degree in Education and Curriculum Design provides him the knowledge to author content that produces results in varied industries and environments. Finally, his advanced education and training in the military including Air Command and Staff, Air War College and National Defense University adds unique perspective to understanding and leading at the highest levels. Wiggins knows it, has done it, succeeded at it, and wants to help you prepare, take and pass the test of leadership.
