Magalie Laguerre-Wilkinson Biography

Magalie Laguerre-Wilkinson is a distinguished, award-winning journalist who currently serves as Vice President of News Programming and Executive Producer of NICK NEWS at Paramount/Nickelodeon, a role she has held since October 2020.

Her career began at NBC News, where she worked closely with Tom Brokaw as an associate producer and producer, building the foundation for her exceptional storytelling and leadership in the field of journalism.

Prior to joining Nickelodeon, she spent 16 years at "60 Minutes," where she produced impactful stories for renowned journalists such as Ed Bradley, Bob Simon, Lesley Stahl, Steve Kroft, and Anderson Cooper. Among her many achievements, she played a key role in the Peabody and Emmy award-winning story on the Kimbanguist Symphony Orchestra in the Democratic Republic of Congo, one of the show's most inspiring features.

Throughout her career, Magalie has reported from diverse global locations and covered numerous domestic issues. Her Haitian heritage proved invaluable in CBS News' coverage of Haiti, including an Emmy-winning 60 Minutes report on the 2010 earthquake. She also served as a correspondent for the 60 Minutes online franchise, "60 Minutes Overtime," and CBS News, in addition to her roles as a reporter for CUNY-TV and co-host of the Carnegie Council’s digital series, "Ethics Matter."
