Ashley Dedmon Biography

Ashley Dedmon is a trailblazing non-profit leader and the former inaugural Director of the National Breast Cancer Roundtable at the American Cancer Society, a key component of the White House Cancer Moonshot Initiative. With a multifaceted background in K-12 education, healthcare, government, and non-profit, she champions equity in cancer care and patient engagement. As a seasoned public health practitioner and DEI strategist, Ashley collaborates globally to drive transformative health initiatives.

Her journey is profoundly personal. As a teen caregiver for two parents with cancer and a BRCA2 previvor herself, Ashley brings unparalleled empathy and insight into her work. During her own double mastectomy journey, she authored “The Big Discovery,” a children’s book designed to help families navigate the challenges of a breast cancer diagnosis.
