Prince Baggett Biography

Prince Baggett is a dynamic leader in the entertainment industry with a proven track record of success in film and television. Most recently, he served as the President of Film and Interim Head of TV for Confluential Films & Black Love, a company he helped build from the ground up. At Confluential, Baggett managed and developed a diverse film slate, taking projects from development to production with a focus on financing through partnerships such as Goldman Sachs. Under his leadership, Confluential financed and produced notable films, including "Young. Wild. Free." starring Sanaa Lathan and directed by Thembi Banks, "Fancy Dance" starring Lily Gladstone and directed by Erica Tremblay (Apple+), "Going to Mars" (HBO Max), and "The Perfect Find" (Netflix). He also played a key role in building and training the film and TV development team.

Before joining Confluential, Baggett was instrumental in establishing Marsai Martin’s Genius Productions, where he served as President of Motion Picture and Co-Head of Development & Production. There, he successfully negotiated a first-look deal with Universal Pictures and oversaw a variety of projects, including "Little" (Universal), "Amari and the Night Brothers" (Universal), "Queen," "Fantasy Football" (Paramount+), "StepMonster," and the Disney TV series "Saturdays." Baggett’s leadership and vision extended beyond production as he mentored talent through Universal Pictures Writers and Directors Programs and co-founded the Diverse Representation Black Entertainment Executives Pipeline Program.

Recognized for his industry expertise, Baggett has been named one of Business Insider’s "Top 25 Rising Stars in Entertainment" and is a sought-after mentor in programs such as the WeScreenplay Diverse Voices Lab and New York Stage and Film.
