As the writer and director of "The Last Drop," a short sci-fi film addressing relationship abuse inspired by the experiences of real survivors, Joel leads an international campaign to help individuals identify and respond to lesser-known forms of abuse that often precede violent relationships.

Through his speaking engagements and film screenings, Joel has supported educators, advocates, policymakers, and community groups, reaching over 116,000 people worldwide.
