Dr. Richard Chang is internationally recognized for his expertise in quality improvement, organization development, customer value, strategic planning, measurement systems, team development, performance improvement, product realization, and human resource development. Dr. Chang also holds significant recognition as a leading authority on personal and organizational excellence. He has served as a judge for the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award from 1996-1999 and as the Chief Judge for the California Awards for Performance Excellence.

Prior to founding Richard Chang Associates, Inc., a diversified performance improvement consulting, training, and publishing firm, Chang directed Corporate Training, Organization Development departments, and Human Resources functions, as well as Quality Improvement initiatives, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system implementations for mid-sized international electronics manufacturers in California. His professional experience spans operations line-management, quality/process auditing, and career development roles.

As a prominent keynote speaker, Chang frequently addresses topics on personal development and organizational-related subjects at regional, national, and international conferences. He has consulted for a vast array of organizations across different industries, including notable companies such as Toshiba, Marriott, Sony, Nestlé, and Disney. His academic credentials include a B.A. in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Chapman University, and a Ph.D. specializing in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University.
