A.C. Green, a former professional basketball player, holds a unique record in the NBA for most consecutive regular-season games played. Green's collegiate career at Oregon State University set the pace for his successful professional journey. He was named to the All-America Third Team and was later selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 1985 NBA draft. His contribution to the Lakers was significant, leading in rebounding for six of his eight years on the team and earning a spot on the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1988-89.
