Allen Sinai, PhD

Allen Sinai is the President and Chief Global Economist at Decision Economics, Inc., a firm that provides economic and financial market forecasting and advisory services to a global client base. Decision Economics operates out of offices in New York, Boston, London, and Tokyo, catering to a diverse range of clients including financial institutions, governments, corporations, and individuals.

Sinai has over four decades of expertise in economic forecasting and policy advising. He is known for his development of the "Sinai-Boston Large-Scale Macroeconomic Model of the U.S. Economy", which is highly regarded for its accuracy in predicting U.S. economic trends. Throughout his career, he has served as a trusted advisor to policymakers in the U.S., Japan, and other nations, as well as to the U.S. Congress and administrations across different political parties. His insights have been sought after at major conferences, including those hosted by prestigious organizations such as State Street.

Previously, Sinai held the position of Chief Global Economist and Managing Director at Lehman Brothers Inc., and was the Director of Lehman Brothers Global Economics. He has also held academic positions at several prestigious institutions, including Brandeis University, MIT Sloan School of Management, New York University, and the University of Illinois.
